Day 20 & 21 Education and Favorite Show

Day 20 - How Important Education Is.

I think education is important. Everyone should know how to read, write, and do you basic math. I think we should be education on culture and history. More importantly I think you should be educated on life. You could have the greatest degree in the world, and could spew off facts all day to me... but if you don't know life, frankly you don't know shit. It breaks my heart when I talk to people who are so "educated" but know nothing about budgeting, finances, credit, mortgages, rates, the economy, how to change a tire, how to read and or write a contract, how to check the oil in your car, or patch a hole in the wall, etc. Working in collections has taught me that many people have "book" smart and very few people have "street" smarts. We just need to have a good balance in life.

Day 21 - Favorite Show

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dexter. I don't know what it is about that show, but it is amazing and I love watching it. You can find Dexter on Showtime. We don't normally pay for this package, but from the last weekend in September to the end of the year we do; just for Dexter. If you haven't seen it, and you like murder investigations and suspense you'll love it. The books that the show is based off of are also really great.

Whew Day 17-19

What a week. I have been so busy with so much this week that blogging has been the last thing on my mind! So here is a catch up!

Day 17 - Seven Clothing Items I'd Like
  1. A pair of black boots
  2. An ivory long tank
  3. A blue cardigan light sweeter
  4. A pair of stone wash jeans
  5. An alkaline trio t shirt
  6. A tan half length trench coat
  7. A pair of chocolate brown dress slacks
Day 18 - Something, or a few things that annoy me
  • Lying - I hate when people lie about things. Especially stupid things that don't matter.
  • Feeling sorry for yourself, or wanting others to feel sorry for you. Be positive. Your complaining is much worse then your problems themselves. And your negative attitude rubs off on people.
  • Being late, or when others are late. I HATE HATE HATE being late... or when others show up late.
Day 19 - A way to win my heart

Being yourself. I like real people. I like people who are honest to themselves and others. Be you.

Day 15 - Hard Times

Day 15 - Something Hard You Have Been Through This Year

Hard times are apart of life. I am a true believer that you have to have hard times to appreciate the good ones. Something hard I have been through this year would be my on going treatment with hyperprolactinaemia, and the tumor that was caused by it. This is not something I talk about often because I have never felt the need to broadcast my troubles to the world... nor do I feel it is everyone's business. The ones who needed to know about it knew. I don't complain about my problems, try and make people feel sorry for me, or make myself feel sorry over it.

There is no cure for hyperprolactinaemia. It is pretty rare, and the disease by itself is not life threatening. The disease effects my brain function that controls my reproductive system. So in short... I have no menstrual cycle without it being medically induced.... ever. I do not ovulate either. The part of the desiese that is scary is in some rare cases a tumor is formed on your putitary glad in your brain. This is where the challenging part came into play for me. By the time they figured out what was wrong with me and got me in for an MRI the tumor was 1 cm away from needed surgical treatment. Since there is no cure for this disease you could have the surgery, get the tumor removed, and it would grow back. I ended up doing dopamine therapy. We felt this would be the best option to try before chemo, or surgery. I have done a total of 4 rounds of treatment. Each round is 12 weeks. The treatment isn't fun. It mimics the same activity your brain would have on cocaine withdrawals. But this is the most cost effect and makes me less sick them chemo ever would.

Although this is something I was diagnosed with before this year, it continues to be a struggle. As of right now the tumor is considered "dormant" and under control. It is something that they will have to watch for the rest of my life.

The good news is I have amazing friends and family who are by my side through all of this. They keep me strong, and positive through it all.

Day 14 - Earliest Memory

Day 14 - My earliest memory...

I remember the most random things, but sometimes I have a hard time remembering what order then go in... or if I just remember it because of a photo, or if I am just remembering something someone had once told me.

One thing I can remember from a very young age is our old house by the train tracks. It was HUGE and it was SO old. I remember sitting on the floor with a Mickey Mouse blanket watching my baby brother crawl around. I don't even know why I remember this, but this is a memory I have that is very vivid, and I could not have been more then 3 1/2.

Day 12 & 13 - Because I am a slacker

I swear I am the worst blogger ever. I can't keep up on this thing!

Day 12 - Midnight Snack of Choice
Grilled PB & J - Something that reminds me of my childhood. You haven't had a PB&J until it is grilled.... mmm mmmm mmm.

Day 13 - Somewhere I would like to visit or live
Australia is somewhere Craig and I would both LOVE to visit. We plan on going for like our 10th anniversary. I think it's so beautiful, and would be such a great experience.

Day 8, 9 & 10

Oh weekends... How you always keep me way more busy then I ever planned. Here is to catching up on the blog... cheers!

Day 8 - Satisfaction in Life

I have been satisfied many times, but since we are just picking one, let's go with buying our home. Craig and I work hard for everything we have. Nothing is handed to us, money is not giving or gifted. We searched a long time for the right house... not just the right house for that moment, but the right house for our future. Very few people knew we were even looking up until we had signed paperwork on an offer. To know we did this by ourselves  together, was very satisfying.

Day 9 - Nine things, to nine people.

♥ I love you more then words can describe. You still give me butterflies even after the better part of a decade. You make me feel beautiful, special, loved and safe. I am proud to be your wife, your partner, and your friend. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

♥ When you meet someone special, and you know they are going to make a big impact on your life, you know... immediately. You are an amazing friend. I wouldn't trade you for the world. You have always been the best partner in crime, shoulder to cry on, audience to my funny and not so funny jokes, and bestest friend. Life wouldn't be the same without you. Our friendship is strong, no matter the distance put between us.

♥ I could never thank you enough for walking into our lives. You made us a family, something I will cherish forever. You are an amazing man, and have worked so hard to provide us with everything in life we could ever dream of; while teaching us important life skills. I love you!

♥ When I was younger I would fight it... the fact that I was becoming you. But now, as I have gotten older, matured, and experienced life and its responsibilities I have realized that becoming you is the best thing I could do for myself. You are an amazingly strong woman, and I hope that I continue to take after you. I am proud to be like you.

♥ You are selfish, disrespectful, hurtful, cruel, and stuck up. Sadly these are things I could never tell you to your face out of love for someone else. I hope someday you will become a better person, and will see how awful you have been in life. I speak for many more people than myself. You think you're a good friend, but really your just good at sucking friendship dry from one end.

♥ I am so proud of all the hard work you two do in life. Always keep your head up. You are amazing, and I love you very much. Keep doing what you feel is right. Don't let other people pressure you into things you aren't ready for. Life is at your feet, take it, and conquer it!

♥ I am really not sure why I continue to allow you to be apart of our lives. Over and over again you continue to disappoint me, and take my friendship for granted. I know your a good person, but you let all your stories, and lies get in the way of who you really are.

♥ I want you to know that my life turned out fine without you. I really don't know why you walked away, and I honestly don't need to know anymore. I know I wouldn't be here today without you, but I do believe God had a different plan for us and that is why things turned out the way they did. I know you are feeling guilty for one reason or another; but don't. What's done is done, and we have all moved on to bigger and better things.

Day 10 - First Love

My first "love" was named Cameron. I was in 3rd grade. I remember thinking he was the only one I could ever marry. Funny how you end up with the opposite of what you dreamed of as a little girl! He was also my first kiss, on the monkey bars after school.
