Day 3 - My view on alcohol and drugs.
I won't be shy, I drink. I am not an alcoholic, nor to I drink on a regular basis. But I do occasionally enjoy a nice drink, or four. I'm young, and yes, I on these rare occasions drink more then I should; I honestly don't find much wrong with it. I believe if I can not let it effect my daily life, can continue to be a functioning member of the adult world, and know when it is unacceptable and okay to be drinking, then I think it's fine. It has never effected my relationships with people, my financially responsibilities, my job, or my overall health. If you can separate these things in your drinking... then I think each to his own.

Day 2 - Where I'd Like To Be In 10 Years
Ten years seems so far away... but then again it feels like only yesterday I was 15; which was almost 10 years ago!
In ten years I will be almost 34. I plan on being still happily married, have a few kids, and established in my career. I have always wanted to run my own buiness, event planning, and catering. I know this really is a very distant, hard reality, but I do plan on doing it on the side when and where I can. I hope to be financially stable, I am not asking to be rich, just comfortable.

Awe... life, back to "normal"
So it's over. The dress has been worn, tears have been cried, something was borrowed, old, new and blue, a father gave a daughter away, a groom kissed his bride, the cake was cut, the dance floor was danced on, the food was eaten, and when all was said and done I was married to my high school sweetheart, next to my best friends, and wonderful family.
Life... back to "normal". Nothing to plan, or get ready for. It's a very bittersweet feeling.
Thank you to everyone who put in hard work, and long hours to make this happen. I appreciate it more then you will ever know. Everything turned out beautiful. Thank you to Caitlin, my maid of honor for the amazing work you did, and for helping keep everything organized the day of. I really could not have done it without you.

The Amazing Woman I call my Best Friend
I just wanted to take a moment to make a shout out to my amazing, wonderful best friend; Caitlin. I really don't know what I would do without her. She is an amazing person to have in your life, and even more so an amazing friend. I just want her to know that I appreciate everything she does for me. She could never be replaced, even if I spent a lifetime looking.
I love you Cait.

Summer of Luv
I really am making it a goal to write on here more. I figure if I can commit to AT LEAST one post a week we can go up from there. So here we are... day one.
The wedding is just weeks away. Everyday is consumed with some sort of wedding madness, task, thought, project, etc. It's coming together, and I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The yard is looking amazing. My bridals are done (did these yesterday, and they were a lot of fun). Centerpiece stuff is purchased. Wedding licence is being pick up this week. It's almost here, and I am starting to get really excited. It's been a lot of work, and I know there is still a lot more to be done. My weekends are starting to be jammed full of stuff. Bridal showers, bachalorette parties, family coming into town. My mom and Kasara will be here on the 1st, and I am very excited, and very GRATEFUL I will have them here to help me. Caitlin has been working so hard on putting things together for me. I really don't know what I would do without her.... and I honestly don't know how she juggles it all. She is just amazing. We started getting wedding gifts. I am writing thank you cards as they come in the save myself the stress of getting them out. I am getting my arm worked on today by Mitch to make sure its all pretty for the wedding day.
Craig and I can't wait for our trip to Jamaica. It is going to be so relaxing, and good to spend quality time together with no distractions. No computers, no cell phones, no work; just us, and that beautiful water. We gave ourselves a day between the wedding and leaving for Jamaica. We thought this would be less stressful, and we could make sure after all the wedding ciaos we have everything we need to leave the country for a week. We will be off work for a total of 12 days, which will be SO nice and SO NEEDED!
Life is good. I am very excited to marry my best friend. We have been together for 8 years, so it's about time we make this all legal ;)
I love you Craig.

Pause Button?
One Month... Two Weeks... One Day.
Wait.... what?!?
Wow... seems like yesterday was September, and I was just engaged.... and telling people... and starting to think about things; and saying to myself every time I googled, read, looked, or thought about one detail of a wedding, "Ashley, you have got plenty of time to think about all this." Uh... yeah, can we go back to that?
Things are coming along... and I have a ton of things checked off the list. But, as it starts to inch closer day by day, more and more things continue to come up that need to be addressed. I love planning weddings... but have decided that it IS NOT as much fun to plans yours.
The yard is looking AMAZING! For anyone who has seen the yard when we bought the house a year and a half ago, you would be quite impressed. We have put a lot of time, sweat, and cash into it. I love it, it is looking wonderful. Every time I complain about any of the time, effort or money, I just remind myself that not only is it going to be wonderful on July 7th, but for everyday for the rest of our lives.
I am getting my bridals done on June 11th. I am very excited to have them done. My mom can not wait at all. I am very grateful for the photographer in the family =D (and by the way, congrats Nate on graduating!) He does amazing work, and I am very blessed to have him do our pictures.
My mom will be here a week before the wedding. I am thrilled to get to spend the extra time with her. We are going to have a lot of fun getting the final details together, and spending mommy/daughter time before the big day. Kasara will also be coming out with her, so I will have ALL my bridesmaids here with me!

Long Lost Blogger
Wow, am I a slacker or what?! No post since the new year... very disappointing.
So a catch up of the last few months... most of anything that is even worth updating on, involves the wedding.
So a catch up of the last few months... most of anything that is even worth updating on, involves the wedding.
- Wedding invitations were picked out, bought and have arrived. They are amazing, I love them! They are very different from what normal wedding invites look like, but they are us, and that is all that matters!
- We went cake testing, and pick out our FLAVORS of cake. Yes, that is right, we couldn't just pick one, so there will be four! We decided on not doing a big cake... no one likes to cut it, and it just is a waste of money. We will have one round cake, which we will cut, and the bridal party and family can go at it, and then we will have complementing cupcakes in different flavors! I am happy with our decision, and it saved us a lot of money. Our cake design is yet again not something that is done with traditional wedding cakes. They will be tattooing out cake, which is just awesome.
- We went and picked out what Craig will be wearing for the wedding. It looks amazing.
- All my bridesmaids and my wonderful maid of honor have their dresses, and they are beautiful.
- My wedding band, and Craigs have been picked out and purchased.
- Caitlin came home for a visit the end of January into February. It was so much fun, and we had a great time. I missed her so much when she left.
- Mathew is inching closer and closer to boarder patrol, and I am so excited and proud.
- I went on a 4 day business trip to North Dakota. It was boring. There is nothing there, and was very uneventful. I am grateful of the opportunities my company gives me though, and I did learn a lot.
- Caitlin, my bestie, moved back home! I was SOOOO excited. Everything is so much better when she is around. It has been so nice having her home these last few weeks!
- Engagement pictures are done, and back!
- Yard work has been in full force in between rain and snow storms... and sometimes during them. New fence up, new gardens in, old gardens out, fertilizer down, etc. The work is no where close to done... but it is making progress!
